Known Circumstances:
Police are asking the public to help locate a 15-year-old Troy High School girl who may have taken a large number of Tylenol pills before running away from her east Fullerton home Thursday afternoon.Sgt. Andrew Goodrich said Sarah Hightower was last seen about 4:40 p.m. when she ran out the back door of her home and over a back fence. He said the girl is possibly still in the Fullerton area. Hightower's aunt, Laura Valdavia, told police the girl had been depressed lately. Valdavia has been Hightower's guardian since the girl's mother died of breast cancer in June. Hightower's father died of prostate cancer in 2001. Valdavia told police the mother's death is one of the reasons Hightower has been depressed. "She doesn't have a recent history of running away," Goodrich said. "When she was 10, she left and returned the same day." He said Hightower was described by her aunt as a good student who takes advanced courses at Troy. She also likes to spend a lot of time in libraries. Anyone with information as to Hightower's whereabouts is asked to call Detective Jose Flores of the Fullerton Police Department at 714-738-6754. |

Missing Troy High School student returns
A 15-year-old Troy High School student who ran away from her east Fullerton home has been found, police said today.
Sarah Hightower was reported missing Thursday afternoon after she ran out the back door of her home and was believed to have taken a large number of Tylenol pills, said Fullerton police Sgt. Andrew Goodrich.
Police believe Hightower was in Fullerton – possibly with a friend – the entire time she was missing. She returned to her home Tuesday afternoon.
"We were very concerned and we are glad she came back OK," Goodrich said, adding that Hightower never took the Tylenol.

I and Coach Mark went throught the same thing you did about 3 years ago we were teenagers who lost our mom to cancer...
