Known Circumstances:
Andrew has been missing since 14th September 2007. He was aged 14 years (d.o.b. 10.07.93). He missed school for the first time that day and took a train to London Kings Cross Station from his home in Doncaster.
He took only £200 with him along with his portable Playstation and favourite bag which was black canvas with rock/metal band patches sewn on.
What happened to him after arriving at 11.30 a.m. is unknown. His reasons for leaving remain a mystery.
On 14 September 2007, Andrew was last seen at 8-30am he was heading down Littlemoor Lane, Balby, Doncaster towards Westfield Park. Andrew returned from school after his parents had gone to work, and changed out of his uniform. He emptied his bank account – taking around £200 – and without leaving a note went to Doncaster station and bought a one-way ticket to London King’s Cross (refusing a return even though the cost was about the same). It is thought that he boarded a train at Doncaster Railway Station at 9-35am on the day he went missing arriving at London Kings Cross Station at 11-20am. South Yorkshire Police released CCTV footage from Kings Cross Station on 14 September 07, the day he went missing, there are no confirmed sightings after this one. ![]()
In the first few months after Andrew’s disappearance, Kevin and Glenys took it in turns to visit London, postering, leafleting, covering museums, stations, pizza restaurants, all the refuges they could find, anywhere they could think of. Last year Andrews parents appeared on daytime talk shows, TV and radio news programmes (both regional and national), Comic Relief and Missing Live, among others. Andrew’s photo appeared on electronic screens in hospitals and GPs’ surgeries, and on milk cartons, bus shelters, rubbish vans. This year with us here at HFMC Kevin worked on an email campaign, contacting every school in the UK, museums, churches and Goth scene as his music taste was heading in that direction. Do you know of anyone new to your area that may fit his description? Andrew is now 16 Years Old He may have changed his name, his appearance may have altered, below is an age progressed photo of how Andrew may look now: ![]() Andrew is described as slim build, 5'3 tall with brown straight hair and brown eyes, at the time he went missing, but please bear in mind his appreance has likely changed from the photo on the top right of this page. Andrew was planning on growing his hair long and dying it black, but he is just as likely to have shaved it off and changed his style. Andrew does need glasses or contact lenses, and is in to the heavy metal goth scene; bands like Evanescence, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson and Muse (who he saw in concert with his dad). Andrew is familiar with many of the London Tourist attractions. He is also academically gifted and was always interested in museums of of all types. Subjects such as Mathematics, sciences, history and philosophy particularly interested him.
Despite TV and radio appeals, poster and e-mail campaigns, Andrew Gosden is still missing, his reasons for leaving are completely unknown. There is concern for Andrew's safety as he has never gone missing before and this is totally out of character. can you help find him? Anyone with information should call South Yorks Police on 0114-220 2020 or Missing People on 0500 700 700.

Andrew Gosden - Family anguish over missing teenage son
Mr Gosden reckons the move is part of getting over a psychological barrier which has been in place since Andrew disappeared in September 2007 after heading off from home at Littlemoor Lane, Balby, to school.
He and wife Glenys have been campaigning to try to find their son ever since.
He said: "I just got to the point when I couldn't stand looking at it any more, and I think Glenys felt the same. The police took all Andrew's posters away to look for fingerprints about a year ago - unfortunately they didn't find any.
"It has never really been the same place since Andrew ran away, so it seemed easier for us to make the place look a bit different.

Missing teen's parents turn to concert-goers
Parents Kevin and Glenys Gosden, whose son Andrew disappeared from their Balby home more than two years ago, will continue their search efforts next week by handing out 10,000 leaflets at a concert by his favourite band Muse.
They will give out the leaflets with the help of around 20 friends outside the gig at Sheffield Arena on Wednesday night.
Dad Kevin said: "Muse were definitely up there with Andrew's favourite bands. His favourite album was probably 'Absolution' and his favourite track was 'Plug In Baby'.
"It may make him think again about getting in touch."

Dad's torment in agonising 2-year hunt for his music-mad teenager
It will be a night on which fans of award-winning band Muse will go wild with excitement.
But among the thousands of screaming black-clad youngsters at the group's latest sellout concert, one figure will look awkwardly out of place - 43-year-old Kevin Gosden.
Twice as old as most of the Muse devotees who will pack out the Sheffield Arena, Kevin won't be there to enjoy the music.
Instead the dad will hand out leaflets and anxiously scan the crowd. This, he believes, may be his last chance of finding his longlost son Andrew again.

MISSING TEENAGER URGED TO TEXT CHARITY / A. GOSDEN
14 Sep 2009 - 15:22
A teenager who went missing two years ago today is being urged to get in touch with a charity's confidential text service.
Missing People has issued the direct plea to Andrew Gosden to mark the second anniversary of his disappearance.
Andrew went missing from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, aged 14, on September 14, 2007. He left for school as normal, but was later seen on CCTV at King's Cross station in London on the same day.
Since then Missing People has received numerous sightings of Andrew via media appeals.
Chief executive of Missing People, Martin Houghton-Brown, said: "Andrew is one of the 100,000 young runaways each year in the UK. These young people face many dangers while away and we can provide a lifeline of hope with our Runaway Helpline.
"We are asking Andrew to contact us directly by texting 80234. We just want to hear from him directly."
Andrew's parents, Glenys and Kevin, sent their own message to Andrew: "We have all missed you so much since the day you left. You were always so witty, polite, caring and intelligent that we desperately miss your company. We only want to know that you are safe and well."

EVENTS that were scheduled for that day?
If only a small fraction of the available funds were withdrawn, perhaps he intended to attend some event. Deduct the travel and meal expenses... see if you can find some event that required an entry fee for the balance.
A mathematics challenge of some sort?
A Goth Convention of some sort?
He obviously intended a short trip.
Did he have access to a computer? Emails?
Thank You
Thank you for you post, I can confirm that all these avenues have been checked, hopefully someone out their will see Andrew's details and remember something or come forward with any information no matter how small that might help shed light on where he is.

Family holiday?
Any family holiday of some sort? An upcoming birthday or anniversary? Anything that might show a specific purpose of the trip and therefore show his specific direction from the train station?
electronic data
I bet you did that already but just to make sure. Did you check all his email accounts and messenger logs. Did he have a crush on someone somewhere in the country/world who he didn't see before? I will keep my eyes open on the London gigs and I'd be willing to hand out flyers in Switzerland if you think it's worth the try.

Age-progressive photographs created in hunt for missing Andrew
The admission hints at the torment endured by a couple who lost a child two years ago and still have no idea whether he is alive or dead.
Andrew Gosden does not fit the profile of a likely runaway. A prize-winning mathematician from a stable, loving home, he should have been celebrating his GCSEs this summer. He would also have been toasting his elder sister, Charlotte, 18, who has just gained five A grades at A level and a place to study philosophy, politics and economics at Balliol College, Oxford.
On a Friday morning two years ago, Andrew, then aged 14, left his home in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, but did not catch the school bus. He waited until his parents left for work, let himself back into the house, changed out of his school uniform, went to a cash machine, withdrew £200 and bought a one-way train ticket to London.

Family's hope over new pictures of missing teen
Last year, the family marked the first anniversary of Andrew’s disappearance with a moving church service and a huge leaflet drop in London. This year, Mr Gosden will spend the day with friends, while his wife and daughter will be away on a much-needed holiday before Charlotte, who gained five A grades in her A-levels, leaves for Oxford University next month.
But Andrew will be at the forefront of all their minds.
Asked what message he would like to pass on to his son, Mr Gosden said: “It’s always been the same. We love you, we care about you, as a minimum we just want to know that you’re okay and happy.
“If you’ve got problems, we’d like to be able to have the opportunity to help with it.
“There’s no problem making contact or coming back, the worst thing that’s waiting for you is a lot of hugs because I’ve got millions saved up. Just please, please, please let us know you’re okay.”

Family refuses to give up hope lost son is alive
(...)
Mr Gosden, who has struggled with depression since his son's disappearance, says he hopes the images may bring about a new sighting.
He said: "We would ask people to think laterally and consider if they may have met someone Andrew's age just in the last two years, as well as look at the images. That would really be a help."
On Monday, he will be remaining at home to deal with any possible sightings while his wife Glenys and daughter Charlotte are holidaying in Tunisia.
Mr Gosden said: "That may sound strange, but it's a last holiday together before Charlie goes to university and also a way of being at least physically distant from that difficult day.
"We are not all going as we have not come to terms with the idea of all being out of the country at once, and also because Charlie finds holidays with three of us particularly poignant and difficult still.
"What the day may hold for me, I do not know. If I don't get any 'bites' then I shall spend it with friends and we will pray a lot for Andrew."
He added that there was still no clue as to why his son decided to run away.
Mr Gosden said: "I'm as baffled as ever. Did he decide to do the Reginald Perrin thing and reinvent himself? Or was there something troubling him that he felt he couldn't tell us?
"I still think that his disappearance was spur of the moment. But who knows. It's all speculation.

Family release digitally-aged pictures of missing son.
Family release digitally-aged pictures of missing son on second anniversary of his disappearance
The father of a teenager who has been missing for two years said today he hoped new age-progressed pictures will help him find out what has happened to his son.
Andrew Gosden was just 14 when he left his family home in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, on September 14, 2007.
He headed for London with just a couple of hundred pounds in his pocket and the only confirmed sighting since then is CCTV images showing him leaving Kings Cross station on the day he vanished.
Now posters with pictures showing Andrew as a 16-year-old have been created as the second anniversary of his disappearance approaches.
Kevin Gosden, 43, said the new images were 'reassuring' and hoped they might encourage people to remember something that could help with the search for Andrew.
'I can see the family in it. One of the things I guess that all of us have feared or worried about is you end up thinking "It's two years, how's he changed? If I bumped into him in the street, would I know who he was?"
'It's reassuring to look at that and think "Yes, I'd know you anywhere",' Mr Gosden said.
'The picture doesn't tell us things like what he's done with his hair or how tall he would be now. We don't know.
'But it gets him out there, in the hope that somebody, somewhere might put two and two together and be able to tell us something. And, if he's alive and well, Andrew himself might see it and respond.'

THE devastated family of a missing teenager are hoping new age-progressed images of him will help bring him home.
On the right is how he might look like now.
Next Monday will mark two heartbreaking years since Andrew Gosden, who has family in Chislehurst, Sidcup and Blackheath, disappeared from his home in Doncaster.
He boarded a train to London Kings Cross where CCTV footage shows him leaving the station at 11.30am, but after that the trail of his whereabouts goes cold.
His father Kevin Gosden, 43, who suffered a breakdown as a result of his son's disappearance, has released images which show how the now 16-year-old may now look.
Speaking from his home in Doncaster, he said: "It's almost two years since he went missing. It's quite hard to guess how I will feel on Monday. Two years ago is as fresh in my mind as yesterday but I have no idea where I have been in the meantime except crazily running around trying to find him. It does feel like a big milestone.
"We are hoping that the pictures will maybe give people an idea of how Andrew looks now. They may unwittingly know him. We are stubbornly refusing to give up, but I don't know how much more we can do to publicise it."
The teen took £200, a portable Playstation and his favourite black canvas bag which had rock and metal band badges sewn on it. The reasons for his disappearance remain a mystery - the family were close and had no arguments prior to him leaving.

A second christmas without Andrew
FESTIVE campaigns to help find Doncaster's lost boy are proving to be a "double-edged sword", according to Andrew Gosden's distraught father.
Kevin Gosden and his wife Glenys are this week facing up to a second Christmas without their teenage son who went missing in September last year.
The pair have appeared on national television several times this month in the hope of raising awareness of Andrew's mystery disappearance. But with no further clues or sightings on record, the couple of Littlemoor Lane, Balby, admit they are finding it increasingly difficult to cope with the lack of leads.
Kevin, said: "We've both reached a point where in a sense the publicity is becoming a bit of a double-edged sword. There's been so much of it but we've not had one bit of concrete information. "It just makes us think he's either dead or being held by somebody. "There's no evidence to say he's not alive somewhere," he added. "The statistics aren't very cheering either.
"We're told that only one per cent of children are missing for longer than a year and half of them are found to be dead. "We really have been pretty low and exhausted."
A possible sighting of Andrew in Herefordshire which came to light hours after the Gosdens recently appeared on BBC's The One Show came to nothing, Kevin told the Free Press. Since then the couple have appeared on BBC Switch, aimed specifically at a teenage audience, Channel Five news and Sky News - all to no avail.
Kevin and Glenys have been boosted, however, by 17-year-old daughter Charlotte's forthcoming interview for Oxford University. The McAuley Catholic High School pupil, who was also shortlisted in the council's Doncaster Pride awards, is preparing to take her final A-level exams next year. "Charlotte's just awesome, I don't know how she's doing it," said Kevin. "I'm just so impressed she's passed her entry exam and has got an interview. "To have got that far after the year we've had is unbelievable. I'm so proud of her."

There's been a dramatic increase in the number of young runaways contacting the UK's main helpline for missing people since the launch of a free-to-text service.
Approximately 140,000 under-18s are reported missing every year.
Most of them will turn up safe and well within a couple of days, but thousands end up having to sleep rough.
A new free-to-text service run by the Missing People charity launched last week and received 100 texts from missing children in the first seven days.
But the mum of a teenager who has been missing for more than a year says that there aren't adequate systems in place to trace missing people.
Glenys Gosden's son Andrew ran away from home in Doncaster in September last year.
He was spotted on CCTV leaving King's Cross station in London but there haven't been any confirmed sightings of him since.
Glenys says that charities like Missing People need more funding. She said: "It's those vital early hours, and early days "Getting information out there can be so important to try and locate people and unfortunately a lot of that time was lost in Andrew's case."We don't know if he's alive. We would just love to hear.
"Just a phone call via Missing People, a postcard from miles away just with his writing on, just so we can feel that that's genuinely him and he's alive and living the life he's chosen would just mean so much to us."
Runaway Helpline can be contacted by text (80234), email (runaway@missingpeople.org.uk) and phone (Freefone 0808 800 8080).
Revealed....Missing People is on BBC Two on Saturday 6 December at 1.45pm.

Agony for lost boy's parents after sighting
The informant, however, who reported the sighting through a police intercom box at Leominster Station, left before officers had the chance to talk to him.
"It's becoming a new form of subtle torture," said Andrew's dad Kevin on the ongoing search for clues. "We don't really know whether this person had something really concrete.
"Andrew knows that part of the world - we've been on holiday there - but we don't really know enough."Perhaps there's somebody that knows something that we don't," he added. "But the longer it goes the more we get thinking he's probably either dead or not free.
"If he's still alive I suspect that he'll wait until his 16th birthday next July to show his hand."I think he'd be more worried about what the police, psychologists or education welfare officers might do with him. It's all speculation though."
Man with missing boy information finds police station shut
A MYSTERY caller who went to Leominster Police with information about a missing boy found the station to be closed.
The man went to the Enterprise Way station with information on Andrew Gosden, who disappeared from the south Yorkshire area on September 14, 2007, aged 14.
When the man arrived, the station was closed so he contacted HQ on the external phone, but by the time an officer returned he had left.
The man has since written anonymously to the BBC, which recently featured the case on its One Show programme, giving details of a possible sighting of the youngster in Shrewsbury last month.
South Yorkshire Police are now liaising with colleagues in Shropshire to follow up the possible lead.

Andrew Gosden update, December 3, 2008 - The One Show
The film focussed on two missing persons - Andrew Gosden, just 14 when he disappeared from his home in Doncaster last year. And Sean Durkin who went missing back in 1993 when he ran into serious financial struggles
Andrew's parents shared their story and told us of the pain of "not knowing".
Glenis Durkin, Sean's wife, was left to pick up the pieces after he vanished from her life. Fifteen years on, she says she has never lost hope that Sean will one day come back into her life.
Andrew Gosden
Andrew has been missing from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, since 14 September 2007. Although he was seen on CCTV footage at King's Cross Station in London later that morning, he has not been heard from since.
His family are extremely worried for Andrew's safety and they urge him to get in touch. He can call the Runaway Helpline on Freefone 0808 800 7070 where he can get confidential help and support from the Missing People charity.
Andrew, who has since turned 15, is 5ft 4in tall, of slim build with collar length, light brown hair and brown eyes. He wears strong prescription glasses and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and jeans, and carrying a black canvas satchel with patches of rock/metal bands on it.

Last week we asked you to look out for two missing people - and we
might just have some good news on one of them. Fifteen-year-old Andrew Gosden went missing 15 months ago from his home in South Yorkshire and had not been seen since.
However, police in the Midlands may be on to something. They're desperate to hear again from a man who saw Andrew's picture on The One Show and strongly believes he's seen him in Shrewsbury.
The man tried to leave details at Leominster police station - and we think the same man's now written to us. What he hasn't done is leave a name or contact details of his own.
So, if you are that man, please go into any police station in the country and tell them what you know. The Missing People number is 0500 700 700.
